Infovista SD-WAN: Now With Advanced Cloud Management, App Intelligence For MSPs

InfoVista, a global 5G player and network performance provider, is taking its application intelligence and cloud-native management to the next level within the latest release of its Ipanema SD-WAN solution.

The channel-exclusive company, which has its Americas headquarters in Ashburn, Va. and other offices in France and Dubai, revealed a series of enhancements on Monday that inject deeper cloud orchestration and application control and visibility, combined with session-based routing and path selection. The latest updates to its Ipanema SD-WAN lineup will help the provider target more MSPs, Jon Howes, Infovista's senior vice president of global channel sales, told CRN.

"As we move forward with this product, we expect to target a disproportionate amount of MSPs," he said. "This is a very hot space right now for MSPs, and we are starting to see more MSPs building offerings around our products." [Related: The 6 Hottest SD-WAN Vendors To Watch in 2019]

The new release will include the next generation of Infovista's Application Intelligence+ technology to identify and control quality of experience for applications, said Ricardo Belmar, senior director of global marketing for Infovista. The updates will be available on both Infovista's hardware-based and its virtual network function (VNF) Ipanema SD-WAN offerings.

Infovista introduced Cloud Orchestrator to the Ipanema SD-WAN portfolio, an update that lets users easily deploy SD-WAN and configure their environment without the need for IT intervention.

The company also revealed its Dynamic Cloud Application Database for visibility into thousands of cloud-based applications, which will let enterprises see and recognize applications coming from the cloud as easily as applications coming from the data center and apply intelligence to improve the quality of those applications.

Additionally, the Ipanema SD-WAN portfolio has been bolstered with multi-layered routing for improved connectivity and performance. "It's something that nearly every SD-WAN solution does, but we are connecting this into our application intelligence, and we think that's going to be unique," Belmar said.

The latest updates will help Infovista and its partners go after more midsized customers, Belmar said.

"MSPs are adding more and more managed SD-WAN services, and we feel there is going to be an uptick in adoption, particularly in the midmarket segment where these businesses are already inclined to buy managed services," he said.

The level of interest from the channel has already exceeded Infovista's expectations, Howes added.

The Ipanema SD-WAN solution is serving 450 customers globally today across 115 countries, according to the company.
