Apple will reportedly reopen a slew of stores across the U.S. this week -- months after the tech giant’s retail presence outside China was shut down as coronavirus made its way around the globe.

Bloomberg reported Tuesday that the Cupertino, Calif.-based firm will open 75 more of its retail stores, including in major markets such as Boston, Los Angeles and New York City. The news outlet said that with this latest round of reopenings, the majority of Apple’s 271 retail stores will be open.

“All stores continue to practice additional steps for the health of employees and customers, including temperature checks, face coverings and social distancing,” the company said in a statement released to Bloomberg.

Apple told Bloomberg that stores would also reopen in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Indiana, Delaware, Michigan, Mississippi, Connecticut, Louisiana, New Jersey and more locations across California this week. Locations that are also opening back up include high-profile stores in New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island, CNBC reported.

Apple’s approach to reopening its stores will involve limiting occupancy, mandatory face coverings for its employees and customers as well as temperature checks conducted at the door. The company also said that it’s conducting deep cleanings that “place special emphasis on all surfaces, display products, and highly trafficked areas.”

The first four states to see reopened Apple stores were in Idaho, South Carolina, Alabama and Alaska But as states relaxed restrictions around business closures, Apple began to open more stores in places that were once hard-hit by the virus.

Apple had originally closed all of its stores outside China in mid-March "until further notice."

Earlier this month, the tech giant scheduled this year's online-only Worldwide Developers Conference to start June 22 and said the virtual event will be free to all developers.
