Master MSP IT By Design announced strategic partnerships with N-able and Vijilan Security this week that will expand security services and provide greater client value.

The partnership with software vendor N-able allows partners to use Marlboro, New Jersey-based ITBD’s network operations center (NOC) services and N-able’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) tool. The partnership will give MSPs a comprehensive one-stop NOC service that includes full management of a client’s RMM.

“This is the first time an MSP will be truly integrated in from the tool and service perspective,” said ITBD CEO Sunny Kaila during the company’s Build IT Live conference in Jersey City, New Jersey this week. “That is going to save you a lot of time and to help you be more profitable,” he said.

He said combining N-able’s “best in class” RMM tool and ITBD’s NOC “build by MSPs for MSPs” creates something that doesn’t exist in the market.

“Your team will not be in firefighting mode,” he said. “They have time to be more strategic with your customers and help you grow and help you address those challenges.”

The benefits of one-stop NOC services with RMM include efficient, effective scaling with profitability, the ability to address any lack of RMM talent as ITBD engineers serve as an extension of the client’s existing tech team and 24/7 tech support.

“Sunny and the IT By Design folks grow as you grow,” N-able CEO John Pagliuca said to a room full of MSPs at the conference. “We have the same philosophy. Our mission at N-able is to empower MSPs to be successful, and that’s why I’m so excited about this partnership.”

He said N-able has about 40 percent of the largest MSPs on the planet using its remote monitoring and management tool, data protection and security, “and I believe this will be a better together story.”

Depending how a company is positioned it can hit a tailwind or a headwind, he explained.

“Labor scarcity, cyber insecurity, the move to the cloud, with N-able and IT By Design if you can position yourself right, that labor scarcity goes from being a headwind to being a tail wind,” he said.

“What we have done with this partnership is because the NOC was built for internal use there is no other NOC that is built by an MSP,” Kaila said. “That is what is unique about IT By Design. It’s not only built to serve any customers, it’s built to serve New York City. Wall Street customers are the toughest customers in the world.”

The partnership with Vijilan Security, an Aventura, Florida-based cybersecurity monitoring company, will provide MSP-focused, cost-effective Security Operations Center (SOC) and NOC operations services to partners. MSPs will receive a turnkey solution to not only detect, analyze and investigate cyber-attacks but also respond through threat containment and eradication.

The partnership allows Vijilan’s incident response team to help ITBD engineers to validate, contain, eradicate and remediate its findings.

Vijilan CEO Kevin Nejad said that for the first time in history, MSPs and their SMB clients are detecting cybersecurity incidents before law enforcement does.

“Gone are the days where it might take days or weeks, and your involvement,” he said. “Right now it is an end-to-end solutions offering.”

Kaila said that the two strategic partnerships will help ITBD be better prepared for the changing economic climate, threatened by a possible recession, and to better protect the ever-growing threat landscape.

“You need a partner where they’re not only going to be able to look at these alerts, but they’re going to the problem as well,” Kaila said.
