Lenovo is bringing an immersive learning experience to classrooms across Canada with its Mirage Solo VR headset, one of the many ways Lenovo is driving “intelligent transformation.”

“You’ve no doubt heard the terms Intelligent Transformation, which is really Lenovo’s position in this ever-changing, ever-evolving landscape of technology and business,” said Colin McIsaac, general manager of Lenovo’s North America Data Center Group and Intelligent Devices Group.

“So, VR is one of those assets, where we are going into schools with our Mirage Solo headset with our company software package and related services to bring a different level of value to school boards; and, in fact, in Canada alone we are seeing a lot of success at the curriculum level with the technology to enhance and change the curriculum around these devices which is pretty cool.”

It comes as Lenovo sees momentum build for its products and devices in Canada, where it ranks as the No. 1 PC brand for the first time ever.

“The success we’ve seen in PC…I think we can take that success and bring that to data center as well - and we have. In 3Q of last year, in our Data Center alone, according to IDC, we were in 19 percent share, nip and tuck to No. 2 in our market in Canada. But certainly, it doesn’t stop there: So, we’ve got a PC asset, data center asset and other adjacencies that as a Lenovo organization we are starting to get into.”
