T-Systems To Open Google Cloud ‘Competence Center’

The center will focus on large-scale workload migrations to the cloud, SAP application modernization, AI and ML solutions, and data warehouse and data analytics solutions.

German information and communications technology provider T-Systems will offer migration support and consulting and managed services to enterprise customers leveraging Google Cloud under a new partnership with the No. 3 cloud computing provider.

The Frankfurt, Germany-based Deutsche Telekom subsidiary will establish a Google Cloud “competence center” to help evaluate enterprise customers’ business needs and develop and implement corresponding custom cloud solutions, initially focusing on industries including manufacturing, automotive and logistics, as well as the private sector.

The center will focus on large-scale workload migrations to the cloud – including key SAP workloads -- SAP application modernization, artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions, and data warehouse and data analytics solutions.

“Our joint goal is to support organizations in their digitalization and to improve business processes with the cloud,” T-Systems CEO Adel Al-Saleh said in a statement. “This partnership is a core element of our strategy, generating value-add for our clients with managed cloud services.”

T-Systems, which has locations in 20-plus countries, is an Amazon Web Services Advanced Consulting Partner and a Microsoft Gold Partner and also partners with Cisco Systems, Salesforce, SAP, VMware and ServiceNow.
