See Lexmark’s Latest GO Line Devices In Action

Lexmark targets the SMB market with new color printers and MFP devices.

“Built like a tank with the weight of a ballerina.”

That’s how Lexmark channel chief Sammy Kinlaw introduced the latest additions to Lexmark’s channel-focused GO Line. The launch includes six devices: two color single-function printers, three color multifunction devices and a monochrome multifunction printer.

“This product line is 30 percent lighter and 50 percent smaller than any product we’ve had in this A4 category in the past. That’s meaningful,” said Kinlaw. “So, someone who is in a small work group or small branch office - size and weigh matters. It’s also below 50 pounds, which according to OSHA means that a single person can lift it up and install it.”

The devices come with multicore processing and Lexmark's full-spectrum security, which Lexmark says is the same security found in its more complex print solutions.

“There’s no compromises on the security story and that multicore processor will allow this product to extend the investment into many years, so they are able to use this device in a productive way in the future but not have to worry about security because it can adapt,” said Ron Wells, color product portfolio manager at Lexmark.

Lexmark partners can also find more managed services opportunities through Lexmark’s cloud initiatives, like Cloud Fleet Management.

“Cloud Fleet Management was introduced by the end of 2018 and worldwide in February,” said Kinlaw. “What it allows the VAR to do is have a managed network of printers where they can control it: They can remotely start, they can update bios, they can add an app, they can manage their print levels if they like. That’s all in the cloud but a VAR can control it on behalf of an end-user.”

Kinlaw also discussed the success of Lexmark’s GO line series in CRN’s video.
