ServiceNow Expands Partnership With Microsoft To Run Its SaaS Platform On Azure

The expanded partnership will elevate ServiceNow to one of Microsoft’s strategic partners in its Global ISV Strategic Alliance Portfolio.

Tech giants Microsoft and ServiceNow are joining forces in a strategic partnership that will see Microsoft deploy the ServiceNow platform across its business in a move that the companies said will “improve operations, enhance employee experiences, and deliver stronger business outcomes.”

ServiceNow has also agreed to host its “full SaaS experience” on Microsoft Azure, as well as its own private cloud, the companies said.

The expanded partnership will elevate ServiceNow to one of Microsoft’s strategic partners in its Global ISV Strategic Alliance Portfolio.

The companies said that the expanded partnership is designed to help companies enable enterprise customers in some highly-regulated industries, as well as government customers, “accelerate their digital transformation.”

“There is an enormous opportunity for customers — including in the public sector — to apply the power of the cloud to become more efficient and responsive,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in a statement. “Our partnership combines ServiceNow’s expertise in digital workflows with Azure, our trusted cloud, so that customers can accelerate their digital transformation, while meeting their security and compliance needs.”

ServiceNow will use Azure Cloud as part of its cloud platform for highly-regulated industries, which the statement said will benefit from Microsoft’s deep expertise in data protection. Additionally, government clients will be able to access ServiceNow’s compliance coverage through Azure Government.

“Expanding our strategic global relationship with Microsoft enables ServiceNow to more fully leverage and integrate our platform and products with Microsoft’s leading enterprise technology and capabilities,” said ServiceNow CEO John Donahoe in a statement. “Together, ServiceNow and Microsoft will help our enterprise and government customers accelerate their digital transformation, creating great experiences and unlocking productivity.”

The companies said that by collaborating on “next-generation experiences,” Microsoft and ServiceNow will use technology to create better business intelligence products for the Now Platform with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
