Rauch Clinging To Slim Lead Over Mann In Channel Madness Final

Voting is close in the final round, with the CRN Channel Madness Championship hanging in the balance.

The championship round of the 2022 CRN Channel Madness Tournament of Chiefs is going strong as Scale Computing’s Scott Mann takes on Frank Rauch of Check Point Software Technologies.

With less than a day left of voting, the competitors are both bringing their best game. Rauch is currently out in front, leading with 52 percent of the vote to Mann’s 48 percent.

Carrying the banner for the Hardware region, Mann’s road to the final included a Round 4 victory over Shannon Sbar of Schneider Electric and a Round 3 triumph over Dynabook Americas’ Richard Vaughn. He also beat out HP Inc.’s Scott Lannum in Round 2 after ousting Hitachi Vantara’s Kimberly King in Round 1.

Representing the Security region, Rauch defeated Veeam Software’s Kevin Rooney in Round 4, fended off CyCognito’s Lori Cornmesser in Round 3, bested Michael Rogers of CrowdStrike in Round 2 and held off Joe Sykora of Proofpoint in Round 1.
