MSP Passion For D&H Spills Over At XChange 2018 Session

A D&H Distributing-Hewlett Packard Enterprise session at XChange 2018 turned into an old-time revival with audience members shouting out, unbidden, their praise for D&H after one attendee said he was tired of his current distributor.

The complaint from an executive at a New York-area MSP — who is not a D&H customer — opened the flood gates for audience members after he said was fed up with his distribution partner of more than 20 years.

"They're like robots," the frustrated MSP executive said. "All they want is more money out of me. They've lost connection with where they started, and they got too big."

One member of the audience shouted out that he had been a D&H Partner for 20 years and loves them. Then another, Randy Jorgensen, president of RJ Networks, in Salt Lake City, Utah piped up.

"Four years ago, was the first time I came to one of these [XChange] events," he said. "I'd never heard of D&H before ... D&H probably gets 90 percent of my distributing dollars now because they're responsive. Great prices. It's fabulous. I would everyday all day recommend D&H."

The frustrated solution provider, who said he attended the session because he had heard people talk about D&H but wanted to see them up close, said he was sold after listening to Christopher Rigas, an HPE business development manager with D&H, Harrisburg, Pa.

"There is a client right here [in front of Rigas] and [he] thinks they're the greatest thing since sliced bread," he said. "That's genuine. That's passion."

Rigas was on hand at XChange 2018 to highlight the D&H's partnership with HPE but also took the opportunity to do a little partner recruiting.

"We're not here to push product," he told XChange 2018 attendees. "We're here to uplift you and drive you to success. The reason we've been around so long is because of how intrinsically woven we are into the SMB community."
