Contegix Boosts Cloud Stack With Acquisition

Cloud application provider Contegix acquired a professional services firm that now gives the company full- stack Atlassian capabilities, Contegix said Thursday.

The acquisition of Equip, an Atlassian Platinum solution provider, gives Contegix the ability to be a single- source provider of license management, migration, hybrid cloud hosting, implementation and Tier 1 through Tier 3 Support for Atlassian products.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Contegix was not immediately available for comment.

"The acquisition of Equip now gives us the certified Atlassian expertise and experience to serve our customers through the full stack and ongoing support of the Atlassian application," said David Turner, CEO of Contegix, in a statement. "This full stack of Atlassian offerings including license management, migration, implementation and secure hosting allows Contegix to fully deploy Atlassian tools and deliver on our ‘Go Beyond’ commitment to our customers."

Equip was founded in 2013 by Mick Flanigan and has offices in Portland, Ore., and Seattle. Flanigan will remain with Contegix, leading the company's professional services team.

"I am extremely proud of what Equip has achieved, our culture and our commitment to our clients. Contegix shares our same vision and values, which made this combination a natural fit," Flanigan said in a statement. "I am excited about the future and believe that collectively we will continue a legacy that will accelerate growth for our employees and clients."

Equip marks Contegix's fourth acquisition. In 2016, the company acquired Distributed Systems Services, an IT infrastructure solution provider, and Admo.net Web Services, a cloud and managed services provider based in Kansas City, Mo. In June 2017, Contegix acquired BlackMesh, a cloud services provider specializing in web content management application hosting and secure compliance solutions based in Ashburn, Va.
