Channel Madness Round 2 Results: Tuszik Beats Out Roskill, McKray Holds Off Krause

Round 2 of the 2020 CRN Channel Madness Tournament of Chiefs is complete, and the Enterprise 8 are about to face off in the quarterfinal round.

The voting is closed, and Round 2 of the 2020 CRN Channel Madness Tournament of Chiefs is now in the books. Two matchups came down to the wire to make for an exciting finish. Here's a look at how the Solutions 16 fared and who's moving on to the quarterfinal round as the Enterprise 8.

In the Infrastructure region, Cisco’s Oliver Tuszik dug deep and was able to pull out a win against Lenovo’s Nicole Roskill, who held the lead through Monday. Tuszik came out ahead with 59 percent of the vote to Roskill’s 41 percent.

Meanwhile in the Security region, McAfee’s Ken McCray, winner of the 2018 Channel Madness championship, was able to fend off a late surge by Kendra Krause of Sophos. McCray held on to win with 53 percent of the vote, while Krause brought in 47 percent.

That sets up the Enterprise 8 quarterfinal matchups, which will see HPE’s Paul Hunter take on Cisco’s Oliver Tuszik for the Infrastructure crown, while HP Inc.’s Scott Lannum goes up against Lenovo’s Rob Cato for the Hardware title.

Veeam's Kevin Rooney squares off against Microsoft’s Gavriella Schuster for the Cloud title, while Check Point’s Frank Rauch dukes it out with McAfee’s Ken McCray for the Security crown.

Voting in Round 3 opens today, Tuesday, March 24 at 4:00 PM ET and remains open until Thursday, March 26 at noon ET.
