Kaseya has promoted Dan Tomaszewski to executive vice president of the channel who will lead new programs to support the MSP community.

Tomaszewski is best known for building Powered Services, a sales and marketing enablement platform that helped more than 7,000 MSPs enhance sales objectives and close deals.

His immediate focus is to give Datto customers more access to MSP enablement resources to boost their sales, marketing and operations for legacy Kaseya customers so “we can empower them to be more successful and profitable.”

“Both Kaseya and Datto are customer-centric, it’s one of the reasons Kaseya purchased them,” he told CRN in an email. “I’m already collaborating closely with my Datto counterparts to create a shared vision. We both care about our customers and are very excited about what’s to come and how MSPs will benefit.”

He said his end-goal is to make both Kaseya and Datto partners as efficient and profitable as possible.

“I’m a former MSP so I understand and empathize with them,” he said. “In this role, I have a direct line to leadership to ensure their concerns are being heard and addressed. Our CEO Fred Voccola has put his trust in me – he wants ALL of our customers to be successful.

Tomaszewski leads a team of channel and MSP experts to educate and empower fellow MSPs to be more profitable through proven strategies, content marketing campaigns and training.

As EVP of the channel, he will be working on various new programs to support the MSP community and amplify their voice to provide continued improvement on customer experience.

The announcement comes six weeks after Kaseya closed the $6.2 billion acquisition of rival vendor Datto which caused an uproar of reactions from the MSP community.

Rob Rae, senior vice president of business development at Datto, spoke at IT By Design’s Build IT Live event last week in New Jersey about opportunity in the channel but didn’t go without mentioning the mammoth deal that shook the channel.

“I just celebrated my ninth year with Datto,” Rae said. “Yes, we were recently acquired. Yes, we’ve been all over the news. Yes, I’m super happy to talk about it for the millionth time at the bar tonight. I understand the concerns. I completely understand the concerns. And all of us, like all human beings, hate change. We hate change because change means something is potentially going to fall apart.”

He told MSPs if they just partnered with Datto and have concerns now about being under Kaseya, he was willing to talk about it “for the millionth time.”
