GreenPages is aiming to take the risk out of the cloud equation with a breakthrough new Cloud Xcelerator Platform that is being formally unveiled this week at the national cloud solution provider’s annual Cloudscape summit.

GreenPages CEO Ron Dupler described the new architectural cloud framework- a scalable multicloud reference architecture that includes both Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure- as a “blueprint for success” for customers grappling with the risk associated with moving complex workloads to the cloud.

“This is an architectural framework based on industry best practices that supports multicloud and hybrid cloud architectures,” Dupler told CRN.”Secure, hybrid and multicloud is the key to this architecture.”

Dupler told CRN that the Xcelerator “reference architecture” is going to allow customers to make the move to the cloud at a higher velocity.

“This is a huge breakthrough in terms of the maturity of our strategic advisory services and our ability to drive velocity and confidence in cloud adoption for our clients,” he said. “This is a scalable architecture that is based on today’s best practices in a very dynamic cloud market. We have definitely reduced risk and removed inertia.”

The platform directly addresses customer concerns around security and scalability in a multicloud environments, said Dupler. “Cloud inertia is caused by lack of confidence in how to adopt cloud with a secure, connected enivironment that is going to scale with your business,” he said. “We have solved that.”

The new reference architecture platform- which is already being used by 10 customers - is one of the drivers for a professional services business that is on track to deliver consecutive back to back quarters of record professional sales growth for GreenPages, No. 201 on 2019 CRN SP500.

Dupler is scheduled to formally announce the new Xcelerator platform on Wednesday before several hundred customers attending the Cloudscape 2019 summit.

The Cloud Velocity & Acceleration session on Wednesday – which will feature GreenPages Cloud Xcelerator Platform - includes Timothy Baggs, chief technical architect for Microsoft and Tom Laszewski, Americas Enterprise Transformation Advisor for Amazon Web Services.

“Microsoft and AWS are both great partners,” said Dupler. “We are seeing customers choose AWS and Microsoft based on a variety of factors. We feel being adept at both and being able to teach customers how to leverage either or both is key to our competitive differentiation.”

Dupler said the Xcelerator reference architecture was a direct result of listening and responding to customers’ concerns on moving workloads to the cloud. “This was market driven in dialogue with our clients,” he said. “There are some great competitors doing some really cool things but we are getting our great ideas now from the clients we are working with.”

The Xcelerator Platform is a dramatic “pivot point” in how fast GreenPages can move to help customers accelerate their cloud strategies, said Dupler. “We have executed well against our cloud vision,” he said. “Now we think we are leaping ahead.”

The Xcelerator Platform marks a new front in establishing GreenPages’ cloud leadership, said Dupler. “I am extremely bullish,” he said.”We have reinvented ourselves and are extremely well aligned with the market. The opportunity looking forward is as big as it ever has been.”
